Bob Shinn

Mr. Robert (Bob) Shinn is originally from South Toms River, NJ. and moved to Kingwood, W V. a few years after college. He entered the Army and served for over six years before an injury ended his military career. Bob started his Federal career as a local developmental Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Specialist at the Army Reserve’s central EEO office located at Fort McCoy, WI. He then served as a Specialist for the Army Corps of Engineers in Memphis, TN. Bob was then selected as the EEO Officer for United States Army Garrison, Fort Greely, in the Alaskan interior. Bob currently serves as the Director of Civil Rights for Region 1 and Region 10 of the USDA Forest Service stationed in Missoula, MT.

Bob is a graduate of the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute’s Mediator, EEO Specialist, and EEO Officer Courses. He is also a certified EEO counselor, and Instructor.

He is married to Mrs. Dawn Shinn and they have a 12 year old daughter, Zoe.
